What services do you offer?
We specialise in smaller building jobs, crack repairs and structural property maintenance. We have a small team of experienced, trustworthly and professional tradesmen who combine our talents to deliver a reliable and quality service.
We cover;
Crack Stitching - Helifix & Permaguard, as well as our own popular THORPE LINTEL system, a low cost alternative to costly Steel or Rebar Lintel Installation. We are the only Independent Crack Stitching speciliast in the U.K.
Why are you Independent?
Helifix & Permaguard are the leading brand names for Crack Stitching helical bar products in the UK. Both offer high quality helical bars, structural resins & structural grout used for repairing cracked brickwork and pointing. Helifix have a national registration which registered installers pay a sizable (in our view) membership fee to retain their approved status. Rather than aligning ourselves (or in our view restricting ourselves) to one brand
Where are you based? & Where do you work?
Norwich - and we are have many happy customers across Norfolk, Suffolk and East Anglia.
We service all Norwich suburbs including; Catton, Old Catton, Mousehold, Costessey,
Will you travel outside Norfolk, Suffolk & East Anglia?
We are a business and we’re happy to travel outside of Norfolk for larger jobs which justify the additional costs of overnight accomodation & travel. Please GET A QUOTE and provide as much information as possible to help us determine if we’ll be able to support your project.
IF WE CAN’T JUSTIFY THE TRAVEL COSTS - DON’T WORRY - We work with a Network of other specialist and reputable Building Companies around the county and would be happy to make a recommendation if possible.*

We hold relevant qualifications for all services offered and hold valid public liability insurance up to £1,000,000 per claim.

Daniel Thorpe holds a current Enhanced CRB Check Status completed by DBS 11/01/2021.
Are you Qualified & Experienced?
Daniel Thorpe has been working as a Bricklayer, Plasterer and Property Maintenance professional for over 20 years.
After spending over a decade “on the tools” Daniel migrated into Adult Education services, working with CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) colleges and adult education providers to train and develop the next generation.
Daniel taught classes with students aged between 13-50 in Property Maintenence & Bricklaying.

Daniel gained his teaching qualification in 2013, Assessing Qualification in 2015 & Quality Assurance Qualification in 2017.
Daniel received endorsements and positive recommendations throughout his career in education, during which time he worked for;

Daniel is a keep supporter of the CITB Apprenticeship Program, having worked to support the development of many young up and coming builders when teaching.
Specialism (Crack Stitching);
Whilst Daniel is a talented and experienced Bricklayer, Plasterer & General Property Maintenance professional, his personal specialism is Crack Stitching - using both Helifix and Permagard methods.
Given Daniels background and experience, he is uniquely placed to be able to complete both the Structural & Cosmetic elements of completing a Crack Repair in full.
Without the need for multiple tradesmen to complete different stages of the repair (structural repair, rendering/plastering, painting & decorating) you can trust Thorpe Structural Repairs & Property Maintenance to complete the whole job from start to finish!

Included within our quote will be a breakdown for all services and costs, along with a projected timescale for work completion.
Can you help me with my own project?
We know many people enjoy DIY and undertaking their own projects, and therefore we’re happy to provide Labour Only, if desired, to support;
Skilled element to otherwise basic project
Additional man-power for specific activity
Support with small element of large project
Requirement for specialists tools or expertise
Advice and experience

Do you use Sub-Contractors?
Yes, frequently. Thorpe Structural and Property Maintenance is a small family run business. We undertake a wide range of services which require a varying set of skills and expertise. As such, where required, we work with a network of local - experienced and highly professional - tradesmen and women who work for us on a sub-contractor basis.
We do so to compliment our own workforce - allow our valued Sub-Contractors the autonomy of building their own businesses (to let them build their own futures!) & ensure flexibility of skills and resources to bring in talent as and when needed.
ALL work completed by Sub-Contractors on behalf of Thorpe Structural & Property Maintenance is checked thoroughly & signed off personally by Daniel on ALL jobs - given his years of experience in education and quality assessment you can therefore have confidence all work will be completed to a professional standard.
